Dear Rue,
27th July 2023 was supposed to be the day me and Louise Ann had spoken about for many years.
After a year or so of planning with Rue Niemi at Sun & Snow Weddings the time had finally come to head to Greece. We had such an amazing first week off our holiday getting ready for the big day.
Unfortunately that day come and my dad Stan Niland suffered a major heart attack and sadly passed away on 27/07/23 at 4pm. As you can imagine we couldn't go ahead with the wedding.
We took a couple of days to process everything that had happened and with the help and support of Debra Niland, Katie Lefkocheir and Rue we decided to replan the wedding for later in the holiday.
This was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make but it's one I hope my dad is proud of.
It was an extremely emotional day for many reasons but it's definitely a day that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the amazing people at Sun & Snow weddings and Katie!
They went above and beyond to support us in a difficult time.
Words cannot explain just how thankful we are to these guys and I really hope when we come back to Crete to remember my dad we can meet up so we can buy you guys a drink.
